Hello again!  How are you?  Hopefully doing well.  Everyone these days is trying to make it in a rough economy and believe me the photography business is no exception.  Like everyone else, we are trying to restructure our packages to be able to offer our services to everyone.

This week I had a great time photographing some children, and you know how I love that!  I just love the natural expressions, especially of the children that are really too young to pose for you.  Capturing them as they are, with those sweet smiles and eyes full of wonder.  I have posted a couple below and hope you enjoy them.

I am not really sure if anyone is following my blog, but I hope if you are you will let me know in some way.  Please post any comments or a suggestions.  I promise I will not hound you with emails, it would just help me to know if my blog is getting out there.  If there are areas of photography you have questions about, please feel free to ask.

Remember when you take a photo to divide it mentally into thirds and put your subject towards one third on either side of the photo, not in the middle which is our first instinct.  It will make your photo much more interesting.  If you watch the commercials on TV, not all but most of them are like that with the individual in one third of the photo to the left or right.  Check what surrounds the person you are photographing and make sure there are no poles behind them or trees or other objects that will give the appearance of growing out of their head when the photo is complete.  Also, try filling your frame with your subject in close.  This eliminates any distracting elements that may be surrounding your subject.  Digital cameras are so nice for learning the art of photography, you can just erase what you don’t like.  Not like years ago when we used film and paid for a bunch of photos and maybe got one or two we would even show anyone.  Times have sure changed!

This week we did a few more photos of children.  See what you think!

It was hard enough getting the boys together on the seat let alone adding the puppy..so I am happy with this:)

This little guy carried this plastic table all over the place and then just got up on it and sat for a few seconds and I quick got a shot!

This is “Mr. Blue Eyes”

These two little ring bearers were hysterical.  They could not contain their excitement before the wedding. A serious pose was out of the question…so this is what we got!
